We're a family-owned company with a love for making food.
We started
Hungry Sam's, a bright-red food trailer in a parking lot in Blenheim, Ontario (15 minutes south of Chatham.) Fresh-cut fries, sirloin hamburgers and our own chili and soups on the menu meant we were doing our best to raise people's expectations of what you could get from a food truck. We knew we were on to something when it was 30°C outside and people were asking for our soup!
We wanted to be able to offer something totally unique on the menu. That was the vision when we started looking for something new; a bigger location where we could bake, make and cook what we wanted to—all year round.

What makes us different?
At Hungry Sam's Bakery & Deli, we take pride in using the freshest ingredients in everything we make. Everything we serve is made from scratch with no preservatives or artificial additives.
Why is this important? When you used to go out to a restaurant to eat, you knew the food was made by hand by someone who cared. Times have changed, with quantity and speed being the most important part of creating a menu. We're going back to how it used to be done.
We're going back to the good ol' days when food used to be made from scratch by people who cared. We cook like we were in our own kitchen at home.
This means making everything fresh and using absolutely no preservatives or additives. We know everything that goes into making our food.
Customer serviceIt's a big part of Hungry Sam's. For us, it's not enough to just have good food. We believe it should be just as much an awesome experience getting your food as eating it. Like in everything we do, we strive for top-notch customer service.
Looking after our customers. It's not optional for us. It's the only way.
We believe ordering your food should be just as great as eating it.
We have a responsibility,
as a restaurant, to reduce waste that ends up in landfills. One of the ways we're doing this is composting all our organic waste.
We're not just keeping fruit & vegetable excess and paper products out of the trash, we're creating fantastic soil for new things to grow.
